Reading over the summer

 This morning, we had a visit from Adam who works at the library in Cowes.

Adam introduced the new reading scheme which is linked to music this year. In order for the children to gain stickers and prizes they need to read six books over the summer. 

The competition is happening in every library on the island but each one has different prizes.

French: conjugating the verb - jouer

 Year 5 revised the different genres of music and the names of different musical instruments. They identified jouer as a verb and practised saying the different verb endings with the matching personal pronouns, by pointing an each other where appropriate. They then completed some sheets filling in the correct ending of the verb.
