Digital Wellbeing

Image
This week the children focussed on understanding how we can look after our mental, physical and emotional health when using digital devices both negatively and positively.  They focussed on the following vocabulary. Digital well-being means that we are maintaining a healthy relationship with technology. This can be achieved by using it in moderation, safely and knowing when to stop as well as making thoughtful choices.

Year 5 have learnt the vocabulary for the different planets in the solar system which they then put in order. They also learnt the link between the days of the week with and the different planets.

International Day - Hawthorn

What an amazing day learning all about Japan. The children loved learning all about Japan and tasting different foods from that country. A special thanks to Mrs Crumbleholme who came in to help us make sushi as well as making origami toys. Also, thanks to Alexandre, Madeleine, Rueben and Jack for teaching the children how to speak in Japanese, learning about Pokémon and Manga books. A fabulous day. I wonder what our next country might be!

We had a fantastic day today in Sycamore Class learning all about India. We enjoyed researching some facts about the country and using these to make a digital presentation, creating Mehndi/henna artwork using body paint and trying some Indian food. We had a great day and loved learning about this amazing and beautiful country!
