No Outsiders

 Today, the children were really engaged with the class discussions about a book that has been banned in 3 countries. We looked at And Tango makes three, which is about 2 male penguins who tried to hatch a stone. After listening to the story, the children soon began to debate if the book should be banned because two male penguins wanted to have a family. 

All of the children, came up with virtually the same answer that the book should not be banned but it might need to have an age restriction on it. A very sensible debate in Hawthorn Class.

French: conjugating the verb - jouer

 Year 5 revised the different genres of music and the names of different musical instruments. They identified jouer as a verb and practised saying the different verb endings with the matching personal pronouns, by pointing an each other where appropriate. They then completed some sheets filling in the correct ending of the verb.
