Trade - How do we get our stuff?

 This term, year 5 are studying trade. Here is our new journey. 

The lesson began by looking at what children trade and understanding that one thing is traded for another. This is the same when we buy things from a shop. We trade money for the item we have bought. This can either be in our country or in other countries. This means that we are linked to other countries as we often but things from the internet. This is called global trade or globalisation. The children then looked at their clothes to see where they were made and other objects in the class. They mapped these onto a world map and some even managed to work out how many miles their items had travelled.
