Knife crime

 Today, the children had a visit from Steph ( police officer) to discuss the law about knives. 

The children were really engaged in the session and asked lots of questions, a general rule of thumb is that nobody should be carrying a knife without good reason in public as it is illegal If you need anymore information questions can be sent to your teachers and Steph is more than willing to answer them. Something the adults found interesting was the that nobody can have samurais swords hanging in their house anymore as this is now illegal.

French: conjugating the verb - jouer

 Year 5 revised the different genres of music and the names of different musical instruments. They identified jouer as a verb and practised saying the different verb endings with the matching personal pronouns, by pointing an each other where appropriate. They then completed some sheets filling in the correct ending of the verb.
