French: Pâques

 Year 5 found out about how the French celebrate Easter, looking at some customs that are the same and different. They found out about the Carnaval de Nice, which is held annually. This year the theme was Vive la Reine. 

The children then completed a word search using Easter 🐣 vocabulary.

Over the last few week, Year 5 have been taking part in both athletics and basketball, engaging in a broad range of activities designed to develop their physical skills and deepen their understanding of each sport. French: conjugating the verb - jouer

 Year 5 revised the different genres of music and the names of different musical instruments. They identified jouer as a verb and practised saying the different verb endings with the matching personal pronouns, by pointing an each other where appropriate. They then completed some sheets filling in the correct ending of the verb.
