What is Scandinavia?

 This week, the children were introduced to the topic of Scandinavia. They identified the new vocabulary they will be using whilst discussing and evaluating evidence. 


The first part of the lesson the children identified the three countries that make up Scandinavia. These include Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Some of the children thought Iceland and Finland might be part of it but they are only Nordic countries. 

The children then looked at different pictures of the countries to see what the landscape is like and the climate.

French: conjugating the verb - jouer

 Year 5 revised the different genres of music and the names of different musical instruments. They identified jouer as a verb and practised saying the different verb endings with the matching personal pronouns, by pointing an each other where appropriate. They then completed some sheets filling in the correct ending of the verb.
