Vaping

 This week, the children were really engaged in the discussions about smoking and vaping. 

They debated whether it was safe to smoke or vape and why people may choose to.  Miss Amor then passed out some resources ( brown lungs) as well as a prop showing how the lungs work. Then,  they looked at how addictive nicotine is and how it can be hard to give up. 





Using a newspaper, the children chose a section of it to answer questions.

Over the last few week, Year 5 have been taking part in both athletics and basketball, engaging in a broad range of activities designed to develop their physical skills and deepen their understanding of each sport. French: conjugating the verb - jouer

 Year 5 revised the different genres of music and the names of different musical instruments. They identified jouer as a verb and practised saying the different verb endings with the matching personal pronouns, by pointing an each other where appropriate. They then completed some sheets filling in the correct ending of the verb.
