Racism

This week, the children read the book ‘Mixed’ by Arree Chung. This lovely, simple story demonstrated how three colours were friends, until one day, reds declared they were the best. This caused a division and the colours didn’t mix and they were not very nice about the other colours. One day, blue and yellow found themselves sitting next to each other and they enjoyed their time together. Thus, other colours decided to mix together again and some even got married.

This was a great illustration that everybody should be treated equally, not by the colour of their skin or where they were born. A good lesson for us all!

Some great photos were made showing different colours working together.
