Applying DADWAVERS

 This week, year 5 have been using DADWAVERS  to help them create cohesion in their writing. 

The children were given 9 parts of a narrative and they had to read the text and decide which order the text should go in to create cohesion. There were some fantastic discussions in the classroom debating which parts of the text went where as well as justifying their answers.

Over the last few week, Year 5 have been taking part in both athletics and basketball, engaging in a broad range of activities designed to develop their physical skills and deepen their understanding of each sport. In athletics, students have been rotating through a variety of events, including throwing, jumping, relay races, sprint and endurance running. French: conjugating the verb - jouer

 Year 5 revised the different genres of music and the names of different musical instruments. They identified jouer as a verb and practised saying the different verb endings with the matching personal pronouns, by pointing an each other where appropriate. They then completed some sheets filling in the correct ending of the verb.
